The Dorcas Circle continues to meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 11:30. We bring a brown bag lunch and are served dessert by the hostess of the day. Some of our projects have included: sponsoring bingo parties (2 a year) for the residents of the Altenheim; filling goodie bags that we deliver to our shut-ins at Christmas time; collecting labels for Crossroads in Fort Wayne; helping with our salad luncheon and the rummage sale; and helping to prepare fabric for a wall hanging for the IKC office. Some of our programs for the year have included a presentation by members of the police department, a book review by Joan Hannon, and a Lenten Quiet Hour; and we always have a devotion by one of our members. But it isn’t all work and no play because we take ourselves out for lunch in June and for our annual Christmas luncheon.
We invite other women of the church to join us. It is an excellent time for fellowship and a good opportunity to meet and make new friends.
