Raising grandkids comes with unique joys and challenges, and you don’t have to face them on your own. Join a supportive community of grandparents just like you, where you can find understanding, encouragement, and resources to navigate this special season of life.
St. John’s United Church of Christ offers a supportive program for Grandparents Raising Grandkids, providing a space for connection, encouragement, and shared wisdom. Led by Pastor Dan, who has firsthand experience raising his grandson, this group offers a supportive community with insight, understanding, and encouragement for those on this unique journey.
Our purpose is to form a plan of action for both growing our group through advertising and word of mouth as well as to come up with a list of issues we would like to discuss in future meetings and possible guests who could come and speak to us about those issues. We will also provide an opportunity for sharing our personal stories to support and encourage one another. We are working on having an adult present to meet with our grandchildren. The session will last one hour.
